Off the Record - Senior Care
The brochure has soft lighting, a smiling couple on a patio, and the word “community” in every sentence. What it doesn’t have is the fine print.
Off the Record is where we close the door and talk about what nobody mentions on the tour. We’ll start with the decoder ring: what all those care terms actually mean, who pays for what, and why some care comes with a Medicare card while other care comes with an invoice. No jargon, no glazed eyes.
Then we get to the good part. With a guest from the senior placement world, we’ll pull back the curtain on how this industry really works, what to notice when you’re walking through a senior living community, and the questions that make a sales tour get a little more interesting.
You’ll leave knowing the language, the lay of the land, and one thing to do this week.
This is a conversation, not a lecture. A few slides, no sales pitches, no stale coffee. We’ll have lemonade and snacks, and a Whisper Network question box: grab an index card when you arrive, write down anything you’d rather ask anonymously, and drop it in. What’s said here stays here.
Who it’s for: Active adults, caregivers, families, and professionals. All are welcome.

Cost: Free. Registration requested so we can plan seating and refreshments.
