Join the UCI Long U.S.–China Institute, the Bowers Museum, and UCI Illuminations for a screening of Of Color and Ink: Chang Dai-chien After 1949, an award-winning documentary by filmmaker Weimin Zhang. Twelve years in the making, the film traces master painter Chang Dai-chien’s artistic journey and three decades of life abroad after 1949.
The screening will be followed by a conversation between director Weimin Zhang, Professor of Cinema at San Francisco State University, and Tianlong Jiao, Chief Curator of the Bowers Museum.
Parking: A parking permit is $16. You can use this link to register your vehicle and buy a parking permit for the Mesa Parking Structure or Student Center Parking Structure (select event "UCI Claire School of the Arts"). This interactive map is helpful for following the directions. Please allow for about 15 minutes to park and walk over to Humanites Gateway.
