It’s time to lettuce discuss one of life’s biggest questions: what actually counts as a salad?Bring your favorite kind of “salad” and prepare to defend your choices. Classic green salads, pasta salads, potato salads, fruit salads, dessert salads, Jell-O salads, chicken salad, broccoli salad, taco salad… honestly, if it can reasonably be argued to belong at a potluck under the word salad, it counts.
Will there be debates over whether marshmallows belong in “salad”? Probably. Will someone insist that pasta salad is superior to lettuce-based salad? Almost certainly. Are we encouraging this? Absolutely.
Come hungry, come opinionated, and come ready to toss around your strongest salad arguments.
Both members and prospective members are welcome!
Kids can come too—we’ll have family seating available. Just bring something to help keep them entertained during the business portion.

Non-members can attend two meetings/events before membership is required.
To join, just fill out an application (available at meetings or online here) and pay $18 quarterly dues ($6/month).

OESC is open to spouses of enlisted Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard, DoD civilians (GS-08 and below), and retired personnel.
