Participants will have a unique opportunity to experience The Zoo with a Zoo educator by their side! These hour-long programs offer children a chance to interact closely with a variety of Zoo ambassador animals while also participating in The Zoo's two-time national-award-winning Kids Go Wild curriculum. Each session includes a STEAM activity that meets Massachusetts state education standards in literacy, science, math, engineering or art.Zoo School serves homeschoolers ages 6 to 12. Children under 6 years old may participate but must be accompanied by an adult guardian at all times; all children attending a Zoo School lesson must be paid for.
All sessions run from 10-11 a.m. at The Zoo in Forest Park. Registration is required and available at https://www.forestparkzoo.org/zoo-school.

Do camels store water in their humps? Do toads cause warts? Explore popular myths and separate fact from fiction.
Tuesday, October 27: Endangered species
Learn about the challenges our endangered wildlife face and how conservation efforts help protect vulnerable animals and their habitats.
Thursday, October 29: Natures recyclers
Explore the science of decomposition. Participants will learn to identify key decomposers such as isopods, worms, and beetles and understand the vital role these organisms play in nutrient recycling and sustainable gardening.
