In Drink in the History, Russell Sparkman explores how thoughtfully curated glassware can enhance home bars and entertaining spaces as functional art. From elegant late-19th-century stemware to the bold shapes, colors, and gilded patterns of the 1950s and ’60s, vintage glass barware complements a remarkable range of design styles. The presentation concludes by bringing glassware and cocktail history together with a demonstration and tasting of the classic Sidecar. Served in a glass from another era, we literally get to drink in the history. We will then get a close-up look at how Designer Tristan Gary has transformed a space into a speakeasy.
