About this Event
As the evenings draw in and the year starts to fold towards winter, this Kindroot Mini Retreat at The Space in London is an invitation to slow down properly, rather than pushing on to the end of the year and hoping to rest in December.
October has a quieter pace to it, if we let it. Most of us do the opposite, treating rest as something to be earned once everything else is finished, which means it rarely arrives at all. This morning is a chance to practise it instead, to let rest be the thing you came for rather than the reward at the end of a long list.
Together, we'll move through a gentle, grounding yoga practice, guided breathwork, and a long yoga nidra, a deep rest taken lying down where there is nothing to achieve and nowhere to be. From this softer, slower place, you'll be guided through journaling and reflection, informed by coaching, exploring what rest actually looks like in your life, what gets in its way, and what you'd like to carry gently through the darker months.
You'll be supported in exploring questions such as:
• Where am I waiting for permission to stop?
• What does rest actually look like for me, rather than what I've been told it should look like?
• What am I still carrying from this year that I don't need to take into the winter?
• What would it mean to move through the darker months at my own pace?
This gathering is also about community and meaningful connection. There will be time to connect with others in a relaxed, welcoming space, with tea, fresh pastries from August Bakery, and open conversation. Moments that create warmth and belonging without pressure or rushing.
This session is hosted by Lisa Lang, founder of The Kindroot Space, and a certified coach, yoga, breathwork and meditation teacher. Through her work, Lisa creates calm, inclusive spaces that support both inner reflection and genuine human connection.
The Kindroot Space is a wellbeing collective created to make supportive practices like yoga, breathwork and coaching more accessible, and to create spaces where people can reconnect with themselves and others in a grounded and authentic way.
