Final Poetluck of the season, featuring guest reader Jack Albert, is upon us! JOIN US THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 5:30pm at WCDH.
Poetluck is a community tradition hosted by The Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow. Attendees are encouraged to bring a potluck dish to share during the gathering. Following Albert’s featured reading, an open mic segment will invite local writers and community members to share up to 5 minutes of original creative work, including poetry, short prose, essays, or songs.
Jack Albert, a long-time Eureka Springs resident, restaurateur, poet, and self-described “justice junky” has been a prominent fixture in artistic, holistic, and political circles from New York City to Northwest Arkansas. His culinary hotspots have long served as meeting grounds for creative camaraderie, and his poetry has appeared in various small press publications, including eMerge Magazine. Albert’s work explores the intersections of writing, mindfulness, and mindlessness, drawing on topics ranging from personal reflections to his friendships with Allen Ginsberg and other intriguing figures.
