Join us for our October Yellowstone County Mental Health Alliance Meet-Up featuring Chyrel Snedigar, Director of External Relations and Strategic Partnerships with Rimrock Foundation.Chyrel will share how Rimrock is expanding access to behavioral health and substance use disorder services through its Care Now strategy and “no wrong door” approach, as well as how trauma-informed principles can shape the way we interact with and support the people we serve.
We’ll explore how trauma and adverse childhood experiences can impact behavior, emotional regulation, relationships, and engagement with services, while looking at practical ways to create more safety, trust, choice, collaboration, empowerment, and connection.
Attendees will leave with a better understanding of:
Rimrock’s Care Now model and how a “no wrong door” approach can reduce barriers to care
The core principles of trauma-informed care
How trauma can influence behavior and engagement with services
Ways to shift from judgment-based interpretations of behavior toward responses that promote dignity, safety, and choice
This is also a great opportunity to learn more about Rimrock’s programs, strengthen collaboration, and build referral pathways within our local mental health community.
