Want to improve the local area?Would you like to find out more about nature?
Or are you just up for raising your heart rate?
Whatever your reason, we would love to see you.
Come in and join us for our monthly Friday task day on the last Friday of the month.
You don't need any previous experience. We'll take you through what we are doing, and why we are doing it, and how to do it safely.
This month, our conservation tasks are going to be:
- Coppicing work - Taking out some of the overgrown trees. We'll use these to reinforce our dead hedge, and use again on our new hedge we've been laying.
- Dead hedge rebuilding - We need to reinforce our barrier to help the amphibians rest over winter.
- Litter picking: The less litter there is the less likely people are to drop it!
The reserve is run by our wonderful team of volunteers.
We would not be able to manage without your help.
Every act makes the site better. We appreciate all of you.
Our Study Centre has toilets that will be open for use.
Our tasks are always open to non-members, but if you would like to help support Sholing Valleys financially and become a member, it's very easy to join. Just follow the link below:
