October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to honor survivors, remember lives lost, and raise awareness about healthy relationships and prevention. Pensacola Women’s Alliance is honored to welcome Taxie Lambert, whose personal journey has inspired a powerful mission of hope, education, and empowerment.
Taxie has more than 20 years of experience in the legal profession and is the founder of the 4EVR DEZ Foundation, created in memory of her daughter, Desirea, whose life was tragically lost to domestic violence. Through the Foundation, Taxie helps women and girls recognize unhealthy relationships, build self-worth, establish healthy boundaries, and find the confidence to use their voices.
Through programs such as Project Formal, Project Period, and the Teen Ambassador Program, the Foundation has supported hundreds of girls and distributed more than 30,000 feminine products in local schools. Taxie continues to transform pain into purpose through advocacy, education, and community leadership.

Tracie brings more than 25 years of executive nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience, with a career focused on serving vulnerable populations and strengthening communities. Her greatest passion is supporting victims of domestic violence, and she has spent much of her career leading domestic violence centers in both Indiana and Florida.
Deeply committed to the Pensacola community, Tracie remains active in several advocacy and service organizations and is a past president of the Pensacola Women’s Alliance. She holds degrees and certifications in nonprofit leadership and fundraising, and in her free time enjoys the beach, boating, fishing, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband and their two Boykin Spaniels. Her guiding philosophy is: “To leave the world a better place… this is to have succeeded.”
