On October 23rd from starting at 6pm, Jasper's downtown will transform into a living arts experience.Local businesses are invited to host an artist, musician, maker, performer, or hands-on creative activity for approximately three hours. Visitors will stroll from location to location, discovering unique artistic experiences throughout the community while exploring the shops, cafés, and businesses that make Jasper vibrant.
Art After Dark celebrates creativity while encouraging residents and visitors alike to experience our downtown in a new way—lingering longer, discovering new businesses, and connecting with local artists.
Maps of participating locations will be available, watch locations for site markers!
How it works
· Participating businesses provide a small area within their storefront or business, depending on artist but should not exceed 10x10 feet.
· Habitat for the Arts matches each location with an artist or creative experience, unless the business has an artist in mind already
· Experiences may include live music, painting demonstrations, pottery, printmaking, storytelling, photography, interactive workshops, theatre, poetry, dance...
· Visitors receive a guide encouraging them to explore multiple locations throughout the evening and businesses will post ART AFTER DARK site markers
Why participate?
· Welcome new customers through your doors.
· Be featured in event promotions, maps, and social media.
· Help create a vibrant downtown experience during Jasper's Dark Sky Festival season.
· Support local artists and strengthen Jasper's creative economy.
When businesses and artists work together, everyone benefits. Visitors enjoy an unforgettable evening, artists share their talents, merchants gain exposure and foot traffic, and Jasper comes alive with creativity after dark.
