On Wednesday, October 14th a combined monthly meeting, educational Lunch 'n Learn (LnL), and training webinar sponsored by the Des Moines Chapter of the AGA. Lunch (BYOL) begins at 11:30 am, followed by a brief business meeting. The LnL presentation begins at 12:00 pm followed by the webinar from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

The May 2026 revisions to the governmentwide grant regulations, the Uniform Guidance located in 2 CFR Part 200, represent the most substantial changes to grant management and administration since it was introduced in 2013. This webinar provides the financial management community with a practical overview of the proposed 2026 revisions and their potential implications for organizations that administer or receive federal awards. The proposed changes address transparency, accountability, oversight and recipient burden, with a proposed effective date of Oct. 1, 2026.
Webinar participants will also examine the role of standardized data and meaningful performance measures to demonstrate grant outcomes and program impact. Data and performance will be explored in the context of internal controls, compliance, reporting, and accountability. Additionally, participants will receive a primer on indirect cost rates and their significance in financial management for grants.
