Join us for a 2-day immersive retreat designed to help massage therapists understand the science behind scar tissue and wound healing so they can confidently and safely support post-operative clients.
Whether you're working with breast cancer surgery, gender-affirming top surgery, elective procedures, or scars elsewhere in the body, this course will deepen your understanding of how scar tissue develops, changes over time, and responds to treatment.
Over two days, you'll explore the anatomy and physiology of wound healing, learn how to assess different types of scars, and develop practical treatment approaches for both mature and immature scars. You'll also gain insight into pathological scar presentations, including hypertrophic and keloid scars, and how to work with them using evidence-informed techniques.
This retreat combines classroom learning, hands-on practice, and meaningful connection with a community of like-minded therapists who are passionate about expanding their clinical skills.
