OCMA Inc. "In The Room" Parent Forum: Breaking the School-to-Pr*son
The pathway from academic struggles, unmet mental-health needs, and disciplinary problems to juvenile justice involvement can begin earlier than many families realize. Join Oconee Community Mentoring Association Inc. for a solution-focused forum designed to help families recognize warning signs, seek support early, and keep young people on a positive path.
Our featured speakers will address three critical areas:
- Chief Keith Moon: Juvenile delinquency, prevention, early intervention, and helping youth avoid involvement with the juvenile justice system.
- Mrs. Regina McCray: Academic interventions and strategies for supporting students who are experiencing educational challenges.
- Dr. Eyvonne Pooler: Youth mental health, early identification, intervention, and family support.
Parents and community members will receive practical information, helpful references, and connections to community resources that can support children before problems become crises.
