On Saturdays, visitors can explore our family friendly farm, and volunteers are welcome to participate in the Community Farming Sessions.
About this Event

Hello there!

Every Saturday Oxford City Farm is open to the public, and everybody can come and participate in the sessions and/or just enjoy the space.

Community Farming Sessions are open to the public, so feel free to pop by the Farm to participate. Sign up as a volunteer so we can get an idea of size and scale of tasks that can be tackled on the day.

If you just want to wander around and enjoy the space.. you are very welcome too! Come and visit to enjoy the animals, take a look at the space or just relax and read a book in front of the pond. If you are dropping by for a visit there is no need to book a ticket - the tickets are just to help us manage volunteer numbers.

There will be a nice pop-up cafe serving tea, coffee and cakes.

If you feel like spending some time in nature, surrounded by nature, plants and animals. Oxford City farm is the perfect place for you!

Looking forward to seeing you soon!!

If you are planning to visit the farm with a group of 10 people or more please get in touch with us in advance on [email protected]

IMPORTANT INFO:

Our capacity to offer the above mentioned activities varies each Saturday, so we may not be able to offer all of them on any given family friendly days.

These sessions start at 10am - please avoid arriving earlier than 10am, as the staff will be busy setting up the space.

There will be an introduction at the beginning of the session, and a list of tasks will be shared.

We ask new volunteers to complete on or before their first session.

Vulnerable adults, and people under 18 years old, must attend accompanied by an adult or support worker, who will be responsible for their well being and safeguarding while on the Farm.

There will be volunteers working on site, handling gardening tools. Please ensure that children are supervised at all times.

It is hard to know the number of visitors in advance on Saturdays. Sometimes the farm receives many visitors, so the space can be noisy and busy.

No dogs allowed on the Farm with the exception of guide dogs.

Oxford City Farm is a smoke-free site.

There is NO parking available inside the Farm. We kindly ask visitors not to park in the Care Home parking.

How to find the Farm:

Look for the Isis Care Home car parking entrance on Cornwallis street, and walk to the green gate at the end of it. That is the entrance of the Farm.

There is NO parking available inside the Farm. We kindly ask visitors not to park in the Care Home parking.

Thank you!

The Oxford City Farm Team.
