About this Event
Hello, sweet community,
We warmly invite you to gather with us for Ocean Beach Sangha, a space open to all bodies and beings seeking calm, connection, and presence by the sea
Sangha is a Sanskrit and Pali word that means community or assembly, and it holds deep significance in the Buddhist tradition—referring originally to the community of monastics and, more broadly, to anyone walking a path of awakening together. In many modern contexts, sangha has come to represent any supportive spiritual community rooted in mindfulness, compassion, and shared presence
In this spirit, we gather to support one another in mindful practice, not as teachers or students, but simply as humans sharing space, breath, and care. While we draw some inspiration from Buddhist principles, this space is not tied to any lineage or dogma. Our intention is to show up together and practice with sincerity, reverence, and love
To begin, we'll say hello, then sit in meditation, open the space for reflection or sharing, and allow whatever wisdom arises to be witnessed and welcomed
We encourage you to bring a poem, passage, or meaningful inspiration if you feel called—something that moves your heart, nourishes your spirit, or sparks connection
As we grow together, we may explore different meditation techniques or more specific studies based on our group's preferences
