Join us Wednesday, September 24, for our chapter’s second event of the month: a captivating presentation by Shelly Sergent on "All American Gemstones". She will guide us on an exploration of the only 13 U.S. states that produce gem-quality minerals.From Opal to Diamonds, the United States is home to some of the rarest and most unique gems in the world.
About the Speaker: Shelly Sergent has spent more than 40 years in the jewelry industry. She currently is the curator for a world class gem and jewelry collection, Somewhere In The Rainbow. Shelly is a dedicated Board Member of the Alfie Norville Gem and Mineral Museum and serves many other organizations in the lapidary, gemstone, and jewelry industry. And she is the proud recipient of the 2021 AGS Sallie Morton award and 2023 AGTA Leon Ritzler achievement award.
