Oak City Indie Games is a beloved annual showcase featuring work from local NC (now including other East Coast) indie game developers and artists. Let’s take the day to celebrate our local community and play some awesome games together!
Come out and meet local game developers, artists, and creatives. Play awesome indie games, demos, works-in-progress, jam games, TTRPGs, board games, experimental games, multiplayer games, and more.
Oak City Indie Games 2026 will be held at Wake Tech! In addition to local games, we'll be able to play projects from students of the SGD Program!
- An Associate's Degree program is designed to give students a broad understanding of all facets of video game design, while also allowing them to focus on honing the skills best suited to their abilities and maximize their potential
Kids 6 and under get in free!
Tickets will be available to purchase on the day of through Eventbrite.

Creating community through in-person video game events since 2023. NC Eclectic Esports was born out of a desire to create welcoming third places across Cary, Durham, Raleigh and the Triangle where everyone, no matter their skill, age, or identity, can feel included and have fun. Their events are perfect for gamers, families, kids, and teens looking for safe and engaging experiences. As long as you can hold a controller, they'll show you how to have fun.
Bingo Bard is creating a Bingo experience specifically designed to be played during Oak City Indie Games 2026!

The NC-Triangle Chapter of the International Game Developers Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the interests of game developers within the areas of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
The IGDA’s goals are to connect members with their peers, to promote professional development, and to advocate on issues that affect the game developer community.
Chapters provide local outreach, education, and advocacy to the local community through regularly scheduled meetings and events. By being connected with the main organization and other chapters, SIGs, and committees around the world, they are also linked to a global community that can help them keep their members on the forefront of trends in game development.
