⏰ Wir treffen uns kurz vor 14 Uhr zu unserem Picnic & Practice. Es ist ein entspannter Nachmittag zum Kennenlernen, Plaudern, Handwerken, Zuschauen oder Trainieren. Manche bringen ein Projekt mit, essen etwas oder verbringen einfach Zeit mit den anderen. Einige üben außerdem Rüstungskampf. Du kannst sofort mitmachen oder erst einmal in Ruhe ankommen und beobachten. Beides ist völlig normal, und Kämpfen ist vollkommen optional. 😊
👕 Bequeme moderne Kleidung ist völlig in Ordnung.
🪡🧶 Wenn du möchtest, bring gern ein Handwerksprojekt mit. Das ist natürlich völlig optional. Wenn du nichts mitbringen kannst oder möchtest, bring einfach dich selbst mit. Das ist das Wichtigste. Snacks und Getränke sind während des Nachmittags ebenfalls willkommen. 🥨🥤
⏰ Nach dem gemeinsamen Aufwärmen beginnt um 14:30 Uhr das optionale Kampftraining. Um 16:45 Uhr räumen und fegen wir gemeinsam, und um 17 Uhr endet das Picnic & Practice. (Die meisten von uns fahren danach weiter zum Midwinterfest. Mehr dazu unten. Du bist ebenfalls herzlich eingeladen.)
🧳 Bitte lass Taschen und andere Sachen in den Umkleiden. Die größere Umkleide ist für Personen mit Rüstung und viel Ausrüstung vorgesehen, die kleinere für alle anderen.
👟 Wenn du am Kampftraining teilnehmen möchtest, brauchst du saubere Hallenschuhe. Wenn du nicht kämpfst, sind saubere Hallenschuhe oder Socken in Ordnung. Straßenschuhe sind in der Halle nicht erlaubt.
🛀 Toiletten, Duschen und Umkleiden sind vorhanden.
💶 Es gibt keinen festen Teilnahmebeitrag. Wenn es für dich möglich ist, freuen wir uns über einen freiwilligen Beitrag von etwa 10 Euro pro erwachsener Person zu den Hallenkosten von 60 Euro. Wenn das gerade nicht möglich ist, komm bitte trotzdem.
⚔️ Wenn du das Rüstungskämpfen ausprobieren möchtest und keine eigene Ausrüstung hast, melde dich bitte vorher bei unserem Marshal Adam StJohn Lawrence. Rüstungskampf ist grundsätzlich ab 18 Jahren möglich. Jugendliche im Alter von 16 oder 17 Jahren können mit Zustimmung eines Elternteils oder einer erziehungsberechtigten Person teilnehmen.
🍲🎉 Am selben Abend findet auch unser Midwinterfest statt, ein gemütliches Mitbring-Essen zum Jahresabschluss in mittelalterlicher Kleidung. Dafür gibt es eine eigene Veranstaltung mit allen Informationen in unserem Kalender. Das Fest ist nur wenige Kilometer entfernt und auch mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbar. Wenn du beide Veranstaltungen besuchen möchtest, bist du natürlich herzlich willkommen.

⏰ We meet shortly before 2 pm for our Picnic & Practice. It is a relaxed afternoon for meeting people, chatting, crafting, watching or training. Some people bring a project, have something to eat or simply spend time with the group. Some also practise armoured combat. You can join in immediately or take your time, settle in and watch for a while. Both are completely normal, and fighting is entirely optional. 😊
👕 Comfortable modern clothes are completely fine.
🪡🧶 If you like, feel free to bring a craft project. This is entirely optional. If you cannot or do not want to bring anything, just bring yourself. That is the most important thing. Snacks and drinks are also welcome throughout the afternoon. 🥨🥤
⏰ After a shared warm-up, the optional combat practice begins at 2:30 pm. At 4:45 pm, we tidy and sweep the hall together, and the Picnic & Practice ends at 5 pm. (Most of us will continue on to the Midwinter Feast afterwards. See below. You are very welcome to join us.)
🧳 Please leave bags and other belongings in the changing rooms. The larger room is intended for people with armour and substantial equipment, and the smaller one is for everyone else.
👟 If you want to take part in combat practice, you will need clean indoor shoes. If you are not fighting, clean indoor shoes or socks are fine. Outdoor shoes are not allowed in the hall.
🛀 Toilets, showers and changing rooms are available.
💶 There is no fixed participation fee. If you can, we appreciate a voluntary contribution of around €10 per adult towards the €60 hall hire. If that is not possible for you at the moment, please come anyway.
⚔️ If you would like to try armoured combat and do not have your own equipment, please contact our Marshal, Adam StJohn Lawrence, beforehand. Armoured combat is normally available from the age of 18. Young people aged 16 or 17 may take part with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
🍲🎉 Our Midwinter Feast also takes place that evening. It is a cosy end-of-year potluck meal in medieval clothing, and it has its own separate event listing with all the information in our calendar. The feast is only a few kilometres away and is easy to reach by public transport. If you would like to attend both events, you are very welcome.
