What can you make with bioplastic? Come find out at our free community drop-in this Sunday, October 4!
Whether you're at the Cambridge Science Carnival / Future Fest at MIT down the road or just curious about NuVu, drop by this Sunday and turn bioplastic sheets into a wallet you can take home.
In a hands-on, fabrication-forward activity for kids and adults alike, we will be looking at various samples of pre-produced bioplastic sheets, working with digital fabrication tools to cut those materials into patterns, and then sewing the material into a simple wallet.
The project is part-material science, part-advanced fabrication exploration, all under the umbrella of sustainability.
