*NUMBERS DO NOT LIE.*So many people have been asking repeatedly if Ginger Farming is really that profitable, or it's just one of those social media hype that I am doing.
I really do not know how else to satisfactorily answer this question. However I will attempt an answer with numbers, hope it ends the doubts.
A bag of ginger currently sells at 200k+ frs and 280k depending on where and from whom you are buying.
Using our methods of tilling and raising ridges with tractors, a hectare of ginger exclusively takes 28-32 bags of fresh ginger rhizomes for seedlings. That's is around. 3.5tons.
That same Hectare at harvest, can give you 150- bags of fresh ginger. That is about 16tons
But I must say it is not easy to get these figures. You need to put in blood and sweat and employ some very unorthodox farm practices to succeed.
Even if ginger prices drop to 100k per bag next year, I will let you do the maths and answer that question if ginger Farming is even profitable.
