Please join us for the next Tsal'álh Career Fair on September 18th & 19th, at Crane Hall, Sk’il Mountain Community School. Organized in collaboration with Tsal'álhmec academics, professionals, and knowledge keepers, this enriching event is tailored for all ages within the Tsal'álhmec community and our St’át’imc relatives in surrounding areas. This year our event will be extra special with our new partnership with the 2 Rivers Remix Society www.2riversremix.ca
Our theme for the career fair is Nt’ákcens i Kelkékl7a wa Skálstum̓ (Footprints to Our Future)
Over two days, attendees will enjoy workshops such as, rattle making, silk-screening, financial management and information booths, all within a culturally relevant framework. Facilitated both days by esteemed knowledge keeper Ronnie Dean Harris, the fair offers a unique platform connecting post-secondary institutions, industries, and employment opportunities. There will be 2 meals a day with St’át’imc drumming at each meal. Your participation will enhance this transformative event, fostering growth and collaboration with our community.
(September 18th will be inside Crane Hall)
We will begin with opening ceremony before lunch at 12:00PM the 18th with speakers, both educational and professional booths & programming take place from 1PM-10PM Dinner will be provided. Live entertainment in the evening inside Crane Hall.
(Sept 19th will be the Main event for the 2 Rivers Movable Feast concert situated on the Field outside of Crane Hall throughout the day)
Starting with Lunch from 12:00PM until 10:00PM Dinner will be provided – This day will be a combination of live musical performances as well as cultural sharing.
