About this Event
Join North Texas ISSA for AI Night: Under the Hood of LLMs, part of the NTXISSA Hands-On Program. Attend in person or online and learn how large language models work, then run one yourself. We cover the math and weights behind LLMs, how models are trained, how commercial AI platforms and agent harnesses work, how to scope and cost an AI project, and how to run models with Docker, the CLI, and APIs.
In the labs, you will chat with a local model, log prompts in Open WebUI, generate Python in VS Code, and try prompt injection against Lakera's Gandalf. All experience levels are welcome.
This hands-on program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of large language models and their applications. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced professional, you'll gain valuable insights and skills to enhance your career in cybersecurity.
