NSW Health and Safety Representative (HSR) Initial 5-Day CourseAre you a newly elected HSR or looking to better understand the role of a Health and Safety Representative in NSW?
This SafeWork NSW approved 5-day HSR course is designed to give participants the knowledge, practical skills and confidence required to effectively represent their work group and carry out the functions of an HSR under NSW work health and safety legislation.

The course covers the WHS legislative framework, duties and obligations, the role of SafeWork NSW, HSR powers and functions, consultation requirements, issue resolution, incident notification and investigation, Provisional Improvement Notices (PINs), cease work provisions and practical exercises.
This course is suitable for elected HSRs as well as people who want a stronger understanding of WHS legislation, consultation processes and worker representation.
