About this Event
This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a pistol. The course is designed to provide beginning shooters a hands-on learning introduction necessary to own and use a specific pistol and model safely. The course includes FIRST classroom instructions at C.A.S. and Sons Protective Group, 18429 Avalon Blvd., Carson, CA 90746 and range time at Insight, 17020 Alburtis, Artesia, CA
Students will learn the NRA’s Rules For Safe Gun Handling, handgun parts and operation of various models, types of calibers, components of ammunition, fundamentals of pistol, cleaning the weapons, and continued opportunities for skill development.
Students will receive the Basics of Pistol handbooks, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and FIRST Steps course completion certificate.
This course will offer students the opportunity to apply for their Utah and Arizona CCW Permit, also DOJ CA Safe Handling Certificate in order to purchase a firearm--ALL for additional fees.
