NPO Applications 2028–33: Tees Valley Support Day

Tees Valley Combined Authority invites existing National Portfolio Organisations and arts and culture organisations across the Tees Valley, who are planning to apply to Arts Council England to become a National Portfolio Organisation for 2028–33, to join us for a dedicated day of support, insight and shared discussion.

This free event is designed to help organisations strengthen their applications by connecting their ambitions to the wider regional context. The morning will include an opportunity to learn more about the Tees Valley Local Growth Plan, hear from TVCA’s Economic Intelligence team about the data and evidence available to support applications, and explore shared regional priorities with colleagues from across the sector.

The afternoon session will be delivered by Mel Larsen and will focus on helping organisations make a compelling case for funding and tell the story of their organisation with clarity, confidence and impact.

Who is it for?

This session is for existing NPOs and arts and culture organisations based in the Tees Valley that are considering or preparing an application to Arts Council England’s National Portfolio for 2028–33. The session is open to one person per organisation, ideally the person leading on developing the bid.

What to expect

• Insight into the Tees Valley Local Growth Plan and how cultural organisations can align with regional priorities.
• An introduction to TVCA’s economic intelligence offer and the data available to help evidence need, opportunity and impact.
• Time to connect with other organisations and discuss shared priorities for culture and creativity across the region.

A practical afternoon workshop with Mel Larsen on business development and telling your organisation’s story.
