About this Event
🎬 As part of Novembre Numérique, join us for a screening of Un monde merveilleux (2024), a sharp and funny French comedy by Giulio Callegari that invites us to rethink our relationship with technology.
The story 👉 In a not-so-distant future where humans depend on robots for almost everything, Max (Blanche Gardin), a former teacher with zero patience for technology, makes ends meet by stealing robots and selling them for parts. Stuck with a robot that drives her up the wall, she sets off on a chase to find her daughter and prove there’s still some humanity left in this world. Somewhere between offbeat comedy and social satire, Un Monde Merveilleux asks what we gain, and what we lose, when machines start making our choices for us.
This film is rated M – suitable for mature audiences (contains offensive language & adult references).
