Nancy has been a fishkeeper for 50 + years! "Guppies entered into my sights about 25 years ago and after killing about$1000 worth , I figured it out.. My career as a guppy judge started with the American IFGA . I made a lot of friends and learned so much! A few years after that I was introduced to the IKGH (International Koratorium of Guppy Highbreeding)
By my dear friend Stephen Elliott who was besides a great friend - he was my mentor. I learned that there were many different wonderful styles of guppies and they were popular world wide.
I became an International Judge about 15 years ago
And Started the Trans Canada Guppy group 11 years ago.
What has the hobby done for me?
Well as a Middle aged - ok Senior -regular housewife type person - I have travelled world wide and been introduced to fish and culture that I would have never believed I would be exposed to.
Come to the meeting Sunday and we can chat all about it!
Nancy will be bringing some rare strains of livebearers for our mini auction so you don't want to miss out. Raffle and social time to follow as always.
