About Afro D & Global Soundwaves:
Afro D & Global Soundwaves is a socially-conscious hip hop/jazz/funk band based in Champaign, Illinois. The band makes soulful music designed to be heard by people of all ages, bridging the gaps between generations by providing music that appeals to old and young alike. The band’s positive messages are designed to inspire people and build community, both locally and globally.
About Current Conduct:
Current Conduct is a new-generation Champaign-Urbana live hip-hop band built at the intersection of the local underground and the University of Illinois music community. Organized by producer, drummer and engineer Aaron “Space Boy” Scott, the group approaches hip-hop as a living, improvisational format — replacing the traditional backing track with a full band capable of moving through hip-hop, jazz, soul, rock, bossa nova and whatever else the moment calls for.
