Welcome to our monthly Play Reading Club!This is a free event where we gather and read a play by a local playwright. All are welcome. Snacks and drinks will be served.
For our November pick, we'll be reading (and singing) MY GHOSTS by Erica and Davis Laros!
MY GHOSTS follows Cab Curio, an acclaimed writer who battles a severe case of writer's block and faces off against his zany, mean inner-critic ghosts: specifically literary giants William Shakespeare, Christopher Marlowe, and Jack Wilson. He is aided along the way by Lenore, a clocktower ghost.
All theatre lovers are encouraged to attend and a talkback with the playwrights will be held after the reading.
About the playwrights:
The creative vision for MY GHOSTS comes from Erica Laros, who penned the book, and David Laros, responsible for the music and lyrics. Erica Laros brings a diverse background as a writer, artist, poet, and even a New York Times-published obituary writer, hinting at a nuanced narrative voice. David Laros, an accomplished international piano entertainer, composer, director, and performer, grounds the musical landscape.
