Every second Saturday of the month, Moonah Arts Centre presents a free, family-friendly afternoon of music and food, supporting local musicians and food vendors. Everyone is invited to see a rotating roster of live music, sample delicious food from local pop-up vendors, grab a drink from the bar and explore the current exhibitions inside the galleries (entry is free). Moonah Music is proudly supported by our friends at Arts Tasmania.

NOVEMBER LINE-UP:
LOS CANDELA are bringing Peruvian Cumbia music to Moonah Music! A genre developed in Peru during the 60s and 70s, fusing traditional Colombian cumbia rhythms with Andean huayno melodies and psychedelic rock. Get ready for African-derived beats, electric guitars and Amazonian rhythms!
Featuring Carlos Enrique Gambirazio Alvarado (guitar and flute), Philip Bohm (bass guitar), Gary Frank Candela Contreras (guitar and vocals), Damon O’Leary Counahan (timbales and percussion) and Diego Andrés Pasten Jiménez (congas and percussion).
The 12-piece cumbia sensation, XIXA perform music to make you dance! The saucy horn section is supported by juicy bass lines and delicious guitar. You’ll get a good helping of percussion, horns, bass, guitar with a side of accordion, giving you a taste of the tropics and an opportunity to move!
