from Northwest ArkansasFor our November 3 club meeting, we’re excited to welcome
Steve Dally, an internationally respected fly-fishing writer,
photographer, guide, and educator whose journey began in
Tasmania, Australia’s renowned trout-fishing paradise. Steve
will discuss his home waters in northwest Arkansas, near
Mountain Home and Cotter, AR.
Although he spent
much of his youth
surfing, diving, and
chasing saltwater
species, a fly rod
eventually
changed
everything. Steve
honed his skills on
Tasmania’s wild
brown trout and
rainbow fisheries
before moving to the United States in 2000, where a three
year career as a traveling fly fishing writer and photographer
took him across some of North America’s most storied waters,
including Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, Idaho, Michigan, New
Mexico, and Arkansas.
Today, Steve is one of the most recognized fly-fishing
personalities in the White River region in northwest Arkansas,
bringing decades of experience as a guide, fly shop manager,
columnist, and contributor to publications including Fly
Fisherman, Anglers Journal, and FlyLife magazine.
Despite an impressive résumé, Steve is best known for his laid
back Aussie charm, sense of humor, and belief that fly fishing
should always be fun. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned
angler, you’ll enjoy Steve’s insights, stories, and practical
wisdom from a lifetime spent chasing fish around the world.
Don’t miss this outstanding opportunity to hear from one of fly
fishing’s most engaging and accomplished speakers.
