Our keynote speaker, Eli Powell, is a Research Associate in Integrative Biology at the University of Texas in Austin. Eli has been researching the honeybee gut microbiome for 16 years with the Moran Lab at UT Austin, exploring how these microbial communities have evolved, how they are transmitted + established, what they do for their hosts, how they are disrupted, and how they might help bees face future challenges.
