Since the finale of NASCAR is November 7th, we are going to run a nascar style race! Qualifying will be ONLY 2 laps, we will still do 2 qualifiers like our regular program but come the A main. We are taking 6, 4 bump for a 10 car field on the super speedway. This will an endurance style race. Stage 1 will be a 40 lap shootout, you will then be allowed to come in and change tires/battery, adjust the car BUT you will only get 2 minutes. Stage 2 you will start where you finished in stage 1 and it will be a 50 lap shootout, you will have 2 minutes to make adjustments after the stage. Stage 3 and final stage, you will start like you finished stage 2 and do a final 60 lap shootout. Special rules for this race. If you break during stage 1 or 2, you will be allowed to fix your car and start at the rear of the field in the next stage. To fix your car you will be allowed to have as much help as possible. No limit on people. You will have until the next stage starts to get your car ready. If you break in stage 1 and can’t be done by stage 2. You will be awarded last place for stage 2 and will start at the rear of the field for stage 3.
Working on your car during the 2mins. This is for you ONLY. No one else can assist you during this time. If so you will be penalized a lap and sent to the rear of the field.
Points breakdown, Stage 1 and 2 will be simple 1st-10, 2nd-9, 3rd-8, and so on. Stage 3 will be double points, 1st-20, 2nd-18, 3rd-16, and so on. This is on top of our usual 100pts and count down for finishing. 5 Bonus points for the fastest lap through the 3 stages. 5 bonus points for the fastest qualifier in the 2 lap “seeding”
