Buckham Gallery is pleased to announce the second exhibitions of Season 43, including two group shows: the BAC Annual: Self-Portrait and the nationally juried exhibition, Abstraction.Buckham Artist Collaborators | Self-Portrait
One of the joys of being part of a family of artists are the opportunities to share ideas and thoughts on creative practice. Normally our collective votes on a theme to explore throughout the year with the creation of new artworks. However in early 2026 the Exhibition Committee decided to throw democracy out the window and dictate the theme. We are grateful for everyone being a good sport about it and eager to view the artists and writers through their own eyes. Self-Portrait, comes to fruition with this annual group exhibition and anthology of compositions by our collaborating writers to be released on November 21 at the gallery.

Abstraction | National Juried
Abstraction bends the perception of reality and allows us to see beyond what is tangible. It looks past realistic representation and explores the limitless possibility of line, shape, form, color, value, texture, and space. These works invite our viewers to experience the work through their own subjective means - to explore, discover, think, and feel. In abstraction, what could appear to be "nothing" is still something. Buckham Gallery presents innovative two dimensional and three dimensional artworks that push boundaries through visualizing not what the eyes see, but what the mind sees.
Selected artists:
Valerie Allen, Boisali Biswas, Judi Bradford, Lisa Sabo Brown, Ruth Foote, John Hampshire, Tisch Mikhail Lewis, Paho Mann, Todd McDonald, Eric Pieti, Christopher Schneider, Jeff Schofield, Martin Zane Skalski, Levi Stoffal, Steven Stradley, Mengni Zhang
