Registration is OPEN for our next Homeschool Explorer Day!Join us November 5 at Gulf Shores Beach Retreat for an afternoon exploring both sides of our little stretch of the Gulf Coast.
We’ll start in Little Lagoon, using nets to see what we can find and pulling our crab pots to check for blue crabs, pinfish, and other lagoon life. Then we’ll head across to the beach for a mock sea turtle nest excavation, some sea turtle science, and hands-on beach sampling using our slurp guns and other field tools.
This one is for homeschool students in grades K–8.

$30 first student
$15 each additional student in the same household
$5 participating adults
A parent or responsible adult must stay with their household during the program.

We had such a good time with our first homeschool Explorer Day, and I’m really excited about this one. We’re basically taking some of our favorite parts of a Gulf Coast Explorers overnight field trip and packing them into one afternoon.
