*Date*: 17th to 26th SeptTo experience the starry, limitless sky, and the unbelievable colors that move across the Arctic sky, few places on earth offer more ways to witness the northern lights than Norway. The northern lights activity is peaking this year and next year, expected to reach its highest levels in 11 years.
*Day 1*: Arrival
You can reach Bodø via Oslo by afternoon/evening. Bodø is located just above the Arctic circle, thus a good place to hunt the northern lights
Check-in and rest well to overcome the jet lag.
*Day 2*: Bodø
In the morning, we can visit the Stormen bibliotek, a large public library with stunning views of the sea. In the afternoon, we will visit the spectacular Saltstraumen Bridge connecting the islands of Knaplundsøya and Straumøya. It is the location to witness the strongest tidal currents.
After dinner, we will travel to a location a few kms away from the city. It will be a tour of approx 4-5 hours to see the northern lights.
*Day 3*: Lofoten
In the morning, we will take a flight across the Norwegian sea to reach Lofoten. The wild, raw nature of the Lofoten Islands provides some of the best chances in the world of seeing the northern lights.
We will spend the day exploring the beautiful sights where the mountains rise directly from the sea. At night, we will go for a tour to see the northern lights.
*Day 4*: Lofoten to Narvik
We will catch the morning bus to Narvik (6 hours). This is one of the most scenic roads of Europe passing through the islands, bridges and mountains of the Nordic region.
In the evening we will board the famed Northern lights train for a tour of 4 hours. It will take you far up in the mountains, away from the bright city lights.
*Day 5*: Narvik to Alta
In the morning, we can catch the cable car to the top of Narvikfjellet mountain, one of Norway's top ski destinations, surrounded by high mountains, deep valleys, and spectacular fjords.
In Afternoon, we will board the bus to Tromsø (5 hrs) followed by a short flight to Alta.
*Day 6*: Alta
Alta is known as one of the best place to catch a glimpse of Northern Lights. In morning, we will explore the famous Alta Museum depicting the history of Sami tribe and rock carvings. At noon, we will visit the cathedral of Alta.
In evening, we will set out for a short hike outside the town to catch a final glimpse of northern lights.
*Day 7*: Oslo
In the noon, take a flight back to Oslo and explore the capital city
- Polar Exploration Museum (if time permits)
- National Opera House (from outside)
*Day 8*: Flam line
We will board one of the most famous train journeys of Norway i.e. Bergen line (6 hrs ride). We will switch trains at Myrdal to experience the 20km Flam line connecting the mountains & Fjords.
Later, aboard a cruise to experience one of the longest & deepest Fjords of Norway i.e. Nærøyfjord.
Reach Bergen late in evening.
*Day 9*: Bergen
Last day at leisure. At noon, we will explore the vibrant and colourful Bryggen, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. In late afternoon, we will take funicular train to the Fløyen view point to see the sunset over the beautiful town.
Spend the evening shopping in the market of Bergen
*Day 10*: Return
Flight to India from Bergen (on your own)
*Bonus*: We will taste ‘akvavit’, a traditional Scandinavian flavored spirit.
*Fees: Rs.265,000* per person

- Second installment of Rs.80,000 at least 60 days before the trip (half refundable)
- Remaining amount of Rs.120,000 to be paid at least a week before the trip
