Join us for the Northland Forestry Awards in Whangarei this September, as we celebrate the hard-working heroes of the forestry industry!Hosted by the Northland Wood Council, these awards recognise the individuals and teams who show up every day to do challenging, skilled and essential work. It reflects the strength, innovation and future direction of the forestry sector and its supporting organisations.
The Northland Forestry Awards occur every 2-years and are a must-do for the industry. It includes pre-show drinks and networking, a 3-course dinner and the Awards ceremony. The event is fully licensed and will be held at the McKay Stadium, Friday 18 September 2026.

Our MC for 2026 is one of New Zealand’s favourite actors and radio hosts, Tammy Davis. Better known as ‘Munter’ from Outrageous Fortune, Tammy grew up in and around the forestry industry and has strong connections to Northland, having lived and trained in the region. Don’t worry, we won’t be giving him access to a chainsaw, just his cutting wit will be in action.

The Northland Forestry Awards cover the full supply chain with 16 categories, plus the Supreme Award, the Northland Wood Council Skilled Professional of the Year.
Nominations can be made by your company, your manager, your colleague or you can self-nominate. Submissions are open now and close Friday 7 August.
