Northcote Library Clothes Swap
Join us in person at the Northcote Library Clothes Swap. Bring along clothes you no longer wear and find some new favorites from others. It’s a fun, eco-friendly way to switch up your style and meet awesome people. Don’t miss out on this community event where fashion meets sustainability!
HOW IT WORKS
Bring ideally 5 items, with a maximum of 10 items to trade for tokens.
Items will be assessed by The Hoop Fashion Collective team on arrival and displayed on the rails.
Items for the clothes swap should be:
- Clean and of good quality
- Free of faults or minor repairs
- *No Underwear/Swimwear
All items will be assessed by The Hoop Fashion Collective team before being accepted.
Please bring items you are happy to swap and emotionally detached from.
Once the items are traded for tokens they go straight onto the shop floor and cannot be returned, so make sure you are 100% sure before passing them to the team.
Browse the rails and use your token currency to exchange for new pre-loved items.
You need to drop items off to acquire tokens, the tokens cannot be purchased.
Token currency:
- 1 Token = pre-loved and under £50 in value
- 2 Tokens = pre-loved and over £50 in value in great condition
Items can only be purchased using tokens, no items can be purchased using money.
We cannot offer any monetary compensation if you are unable to use all of your tokens, enjoy that your donated clothes have found a new home and there is a little more space in your wardrobe. We reserve the right to refuse the use of unused tokens at future swap events.
The token value of each item will be assigned during the Drop by the Clothes Swap team and unchangeable after donation.
We can refuse any items brought to the event that do not meet the criteria of the token system but will collect those items for textile recycling.
The Hoop Fashion Collective takes no responsibility for garments donated and swapped.
You may not find items of the same quality as the ones you bring.
Once you have donated an item you will not be able to change your mind after token exchange.
The Hoop Fashion Collective accept no liability for any claim or loss resulting from transaction taking place at the swapping event.
