North of the River Business Networking Meetup – Malaga MarketsI’m starting a fresh networking group for business owners and small businesses across Perth’s northern suburbs who want to build genuine professional relationships without the pressure that can sometimes come with traditional networking groups.
The idea is simple: meet once a month, get to know each other, understand what everyone does, and support each other’s businesses where we can.
Referrals will absolutely be encouraged, but they will never be obligatory. There is no expectation that you have to bring referrals, generate leads for other members or make sales at every meeting.
There are also no membership fees and no networking fees. I’m not creating this to make money from people attending. I simply want to create an opportunity for local business owners to meet, connect and build relationships.
The group will be relaxed and welcoming. Come along, introduce yourself, tell us a little about your business and learn about the businesses around you.
Over time, I’d love this to become a community where we can:
• Learn what other local businesses actually do
• Refer people to each other when opportunities naturally arise
• Collaborate where it makes sense
• Share ideas, knowledge and business experiences
• Support small and local businesses across Perth’s northern suburbs
• Build genuine professional relationships
For example, if someone asks me one day if I know a great landscaper, accountant, photographer, tradie, consultant or another service provider, I’d love to be able to think of someone I’ve actually met through this group and confidently pass their details on.
The monthly catch-ups may move around different north of the river locations, giving businesses from different suburbs an opportunity to participate.
This isn’t about awkward pitches, forced referrals or sitting through another sales meeting.
It’s about creating a genuine networking community where local businesses can get to know each other and hopefully help each other grow.
Our first catch-up will be at Malaga Markets.
Come along, grab a coffee, meet some other local business owners and help us create something new for businesses north of the river. ☕🤝 (coffee at own expense)
