This hybrid course combines 3 modules of online learning with 5 days of in-person training. The 80-hour Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course is designed to teach outdoor professionals such as, trip leaders, guides, search & rescue team members etc., to respond to emergencies in remote environments. At the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge, skills and ability to make sound decisions in the event of medical emergencies in the wilderness.
The course is taught by seasoned instructors and the in-person portion of the course takes place across 5 days. Learning takes place both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather conditions.
