What does a moment sound like when you put it on repeat? A passing tram. A door closing. Footsteps. A fragment of conversation. The hum of the city.π During NOISE ORCHESTRA - From Field Recording to Live Synth weβll collect the sounds of the here and now - and turn them into something entirely new. π
β Led by composer and music producer Dawid DΔ browski, this experimental sound workshop begins outside the studio: listening, recording and building your own archive of everyday sounds. Back inside, weβll cut, loop, layer and transform them using modular synthesis, VCV Rack, cassette tapes and Walkmans.
Over four days, separate sounds and individual ideas will gradually become one collective composition, culminating in an improvised live act during the Grand Finale of We Do Festival on October 25.
Field recording β tape loops β modular synth β noise β improvisation β one shared piece. β
No previous experience with field recording or modular synthesis is required. Curiosity is enough!
