For Defend Democracy ICT, democracy isn’t a one-day event.
We are out six days a week standing up and speaking out. We attend public meetings. We support candidates who are willing to serve their communities. We encourage everyday people to run for office. We organize, educate, register voters, and make sure our neighbors know how to make their voices heard.
And we hold elected officials - at every level of government - accountable to the people they serve.
That’s why we’ll be there for No Kings: Vote Early on October 17.
Because No Kings isn’t only about rejecting the idea that anyone is above the people or the law. It’s about what we do with our power as citizens.
We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.
So join us October 17.
But don’t wait until October 17 to join us.
Join us every day.
Show up. Speak out. Attend a meeting. Learn who represents you. Support a candidate. Help your neighbor vote. Run for office. Ask questions. Demand answers.
Democracy belongs to all of us - but only if we participate in it.

No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

> Do not agitate or instigate others.
> Do not engage with counter-protesters.
> Keep crosswalks and entry/exit points clear for pedestrians.
> Do not block business entrances or antagonize their visitors.

> Call, email, and write to elected officials.
> Vote and help others stay informed about elections.
> Join or support campaigns, or even run for office.
> Serve on boards and committees.
> Partner with and highlight local organizations to collect donations, volunteer, and share resources.
