8-9pm - Salsa-On1 & On2, Translation Program (Adv Beginner)
BACHATA (Open Level), 7-8pm
This Bachata (Open Level) program is a series of beginner-friendly classes, that will also challenge expereinced dancers, designed to prepare participants for social dancing.
We'll ground this popular Latin dance with progressive lessons in basic steps, turns, and patterns. A solid foundation of fundamentals will prepare participants for social dancing.
SALSA - On1 /On2 Translation Program (Adv Beginner), 8-9pm *New Program
Our Salsa - On1/On2 Translation Program is designed for particpants who have a beginner level foundation in either Salsa On1, or Salsa On2. The purpose of this program is to help illuminate the similarities and differences of these two popular styles of Salsa, so that particpants are comfortable social dacning in both styles.
Participants will learn the timing, basics, turns, and traveling movements in both systems, and gain insight on how to translate any partner-work pattern from one system to another.
This program is not recomended for people who have yet to receive an introduction to Salsa. The instructor will assume knowledge of foundational movements such as, "cross-body," and "outside turn." While full proficiency is not required, participants should have completed a "Level 1" Salsa program in either the On1 or On2 system.
SOCIAL, 9pm-12am
After our classes, we will offer a Latin mix social with DJ JRS. The Latin mix will consist mostly of Salsa & Bachata, with some Merengue. The social is open to everyone so feel free to invite friends.
Moonshine Supper Club offers a full food and beverage menu. Kitchen stays open till 10pm.
