About this Event
Join Ecopsychology Masters Student Matthew Doherty for a conversation/workshop series about meeting our relationship to the Earth where it's at- wherever we are. Each session will be two hours and we will be addressing a series of topics over the 7 gatherings:
- Council practice
- Living in seasons
- Ecological Identity
- Learning our stories, and shedding those that are not truly our own
- Animism
- Mapping our Inner Selves
- Charting our Dream Path
- Realizing the Mythic Self
- Nature allies
- Meaning-making
- Ecological Self
- The Great Turning and Active Hope
- Nature and Human Development
- and much more!
These meetings will be an opportunity to connect with the self, others, and the natural world. Tap into the wisdom you've earned over your life, and the widsom you were born with. Bring your stories, your ideas, and your passions- there will be plenty of room for it. My hope is that those who come will leave our time together feeling more deeply aware of the special gifts they have to offer this beautiful and ailing world. Come to as many or as few as you like.
You may either select a donation amount on this Evenbrite page, or you can bring a food donation. 100% of what you offer will go to supporting Our Giving Garden's efforts to feed and educate their community. This is a program geared toward adults, but if you know a mature teenager who would be interested in joining us, then that would be more than fine!
PLEASE PARK AT THE PARKING LOT AT 75 Lake Rd SE, Mableton that Our Giving Garden shares with Vinings Lake Church, not in the driveway at 79 Cooper Lake. t and Take the stairs to the right of the front Garden gate down to the carport and walk all around to the red front door of the Giving House (not the door in the carport). We will be meeting in that front room, and will occassionally be going out to the backyard topic/weather dependent. I cannot wait to see you there, thanks for being you.
