Burn Some Calories Before Thanksgiving 🦃Before we start working on those Thanksgiving calories, Gary’s Gang is heading back to the Rio Salado Audubon Center for a morning of doing some good.
The exact projects are still being worked out, but we’ll likely be tackling some combination of W**d and brush trimming, walking-path renewal, and pond cleanup. Whatever they have waiting for us, there should be plenty of opportunities to get our hands dirty and burn a few calories before the turkey and stuffing arrive.
This one came together a little differently. Gary reached out to Audubon about creating a volunteer opportunity for us during Thanksgiving week, with the idea that family members visiting for the holiday could come out and volunteer together. And Bill is certainly taking advantage of it—he’ll have his son and family in town and plans on making this one a family affair, including both of his grandkids.
So if you’ve got family in town for Thanksgiving, bring them along and make doing a little good part of your holiday week.
