This exclusive experience is part of Nikon Day at B&H: a special lineup of Nikon Ambassadors who will give you an inside look into their approaches to photography.
In a career spanning four decades, Joe McNally has photographed news, sports, technology, trends, culture, celebrity, and politics. In the course of this wide-ranging career, he has managed to bridge the gap between editorial coverages and complex commercial shoots. In this lively discussion he will show images and talk about the varied skill set one needs to literally handle any job, large or small, simple, or complex. In travels to over 75 countries, his constant companions have been a colorful sense of imagination and the Nikon camera system. He is often described as: Authentic, articulate, and visually improvisational. He has shot five covers of National Geographic and seven covers of LIFE magazine. He has covered four Olympics and is known for his knack of “getting his camera in a different place.” Throughout his career, he has often been chosen for jobs that are unusual or challenging. Please join us for a highly caffeinated, honest, often humorous account of looking through a camera lens for forty plus years. Questions are welcome.
