She’s one of those rare artists who feels both timeless and modern, making her a standout voice in contemporary jazz. This fall, Niia returns to Europe to debut music from her upcoming record on the iconic jazz label Candid Records. Apple-strudel born and franzbrötchen-based, Brosie is an indie pop artist turning tangled feelings into sharp, shimmering songs. Raised in Graz (Austria), shaped by her early 20s in the Netherlands, and now crafting her sound in Hamburg from The Banger Bakery — the studio she shares with producer Flo Brugge — she blends storytelling with sonic boldness, mixing Nashville precision with a British edge. Her music is raw but melodic, emotional yet punchy: A fusion of gritty guitars, 80s-tinged synths, and anthemic vocal layers. She calls it Indie Poptimism: honest, high-energy pop for those rewriting their own stories. Brosie writes about what lingers — the friends you lose, the words you never said, the nights that echo longer than they should. There’s humor in the heartbreak, clarity in the chaos. After heating up stages in 2023 supporting Christopher, Sir Chloe, and Gaz Coombes, Brosie stepped into the spotlight in 2024 with her debut EP Waiting to Be Discovered. The release was followed by a standout performance at Reeperbahn Festival and tour dates with Lauran Hibberd, Biig Piig and The Lathums as a support act. 2025 sees her at her most vulnerable yet — led by the energetic gut-punch "Don’t Get Me Wrong!". Brosie makes music for the ones who feel too much, the ones still figuring it out, and anyone who needs to turn the past into something louder, brighter, and impossible to ignore.
