Night of the Yokai: A Sunset Spirit Parade 🏮Presented by Fort Wayne Sister Cities, Takaoka Committee, and the Japanese American Association of Indiana.
As the sun dips below the horizon this Fright Night, the boundary between our world and the spirit realm grows thin. Join the FWSCI Takaoka Committee and the JAAI for a celebration of Japanese folklore like no other!
We’re bringing the legendary Yokai—the mischievous, mysterious, and occasionally spooky spirits of Japan—to the streets of Fort Wayne. Whether you’re a fan of the clever Kitsune, the formidable Tengu, or the water-dwelling Kappa, this is your night to let your inner spirit roam free.
• When: Saturday, October 17th
• Meet & Greet: 6:00 PM (Come show off your masks and costumes!)
• Parade Start: 7:00 PM (Sharp at sunset)
Don your best Japanese-inspired folklore attire and walk with us as we celebrate our Sister City connection with Takaoka in the most spirited way possible.
