About this Event
In many Nigerian homes, there’s always room for one more person at the table. This December, we’re bringing that spirit to Normanton for an evening celebrating our culture, our local businesses and the people who look out for one another.
Come with your family, bring a neighbour or come on your own. Whether you grew up with these traditions or you’re experiencing them for the first time, you’re warmly welcome.
Community Awards
We’ll recognise the people and organisations whose everyday kindness makes a difference in Derby, from the neighbour who checks in on an older resident to the volunteer who gives a young person their first opportunity.
Trade Fair
Meet local traders, hear how their businesses began and discover what they have to offer. You might find a gift for someone you love or a business you’ll come back to long after the evening is over.
Nigerian Christmas party vibes
There’ll be time for music, dancing and the kind of joyful catch-up that makes a Nigerian Christmas gathering feel like home. Bring your favourite dance steps or come ready to learn a new one.
We’d love you to leave knowing a neighbour by name, with a local business to recommend or having finally thanked someone who’s made a difference to you this year.
Register your interest through Eventbrite and we’ll be in touch with admission details once arrangements are confirmed. For trade stalls, partnerships or other enquiries, please call 07823 649255.
